How do children learn best mistakes?

 Life and Learning

Primary school students in Germany have been subjected to a kind of field trial for many years: reformers wanted to use more creative creatures and, in many cases, successfully promoted the ideas of reform educator Jürgen Reichen. But now it turns out that our children can write significantly worse than before. Experts speak of a spelling disaster. What do you mean - how should writing be taught in elementary school?

1. Not as before

The reformers have achieved their goal of using more creative creatures, as evidenced by the extremely creative use of the rules of spelling. Not only the "rich methodology" is responsible for the spelling catastrophe, but also the flooding with pictures, the pushing back of the "Informative method" written language plays a role.
But generally one can observe that the attempts of reform educators never use the children in the sense of a good education, but almost exclusively the enforcement of the respective pedagogical ideology.
If previous generations could better write without reform pedagogy, it is obvious how the writing should be taught.

Children are not there for the reform educators, but vice versa.

Quite simply: as it used to when it was still working. Where is the problem?

As expected, blind reform madness has failed, and now he must be disposed of where he belongs: in the rubbish bins of educational history. Stop degrading our children to guinea pigs as part of crazy experiments!

My great-grandfather was since 1840 district school teacher in Schleswig Holstein. He had 128 students - all ages - half girls - the other half boys, to teach.
Unannounced and at regular intervals examiners were sent to the school, the former claims (French, German, math, history, geography, etc.) checked. One of the assessments of the examiners I still have. After that, this one teacher has managed to meet all the students. Both in the teaching of reading and writing of the smallest ones, he was well-received and well-informed.
The insanity that has been taking place since the 70s on the part of the school administrations in particular of the profiling-minded expiring 68th without proper degrees - leads into today's disaster. The children are badly damaged by politics.
